XRP joins other popular crypto assets that MoonPay users can buy and sell directly from the app, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and stablecoin Tether (USDT). The app also allows customers to exchange select cryptocurrencies, including cross-chain.
In addition to credit cards, users can also purchase cryptocurrencies using Apple Pay and Google Pay. The platform also partners with PayPal to allow crypto purchases in supported regions.
The collaboration comes a day after Ripple chose MoonPay as one of its exchange partners ahead of the company’s launch of stablecoin RLUSD. Earlier this month, MoonPay added support for PayPal USD (PYUSD), the stablecoin issued by the US-based digital payments giant.
Meanwhile, the company received key approval from Australian regulator AUSTRAC in September. Registration allows MoonPay to offer crypto exchange services in the country.
Regulatory approval means the crypto platform has added support for native payment methods such as Osko and PayID.
