XRP outperforms DOGE after breaching $1 amid predictions of new ATH for Ripple

The battle for the sixth largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization has taken another turn as XRP has regained its spot after a week-long hiatus.

This came amid Ripple’s huge rally over the past few days, including a surge above $1 and plenty of speculation about X hitting a new all-time high.

The crypto market has been going through some turbulent times since last week’s US election. At one point, Dogecoin was the biggest gainer, rising 150% in a week due to the asset’s affiliation with Elon Musk and his future involvement in the Trump administration. At the time, DOGE’s market capitalization skyrocketed to around $60 billion and became the sixth largest digital asset, surpassing XRP and USDC.

Since then, the tides have turned and DOGE is down 17% to $0.365, dropping its market cap to $52 billion. At the same time, XRP skyrocketed, rising 100% over the past week to just over $1.1 now. This means that its own market capitalization has surpassed $60 billion, reclaiming XRP’s position as the sixth largest asset.

Ripple’s native token thus remains above $1 for the first time since the bull market in 2021. The asset’s gains come after speculation that Gary Gensler will step down as SEC chairman, as well as Ripple’s CEO holding meetings with Trump. on future crypto policy in the United States.

When new ATH?

Ripple has one of the most dedicated and growing communities, and they quickly celebrated the milestone of going above $1. Also, predictions started popping up left and right about the asset’s potential during this bull market and whether it will ever be able to regain its glory in 2018 when it reached an all-time high of $3.4.

Popular crypto analyst CryptoBull believes that the $1.28 level is the most important barrier in the near future. If it goes lower, XRP’s next target could be $1.96 and eventually a new all-time high near $4.
