Digital Nomad, which means Digital Homeless or Digital Nomad in Turkish; A person who can carry out his/her business from different locations in a sustainable manner, without being tied to a specific location (1). So what does Crypto Nomad mean? I would like to touch briefly on this concept.
Crypto Nomad is a version of the digital nomad concept shaped by the influence of DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) technologies, blockchain and crypto economy. Just like the fourth movie that came after the third movie of the Matrix series, it can be considered a new variant of the digital nomad concept. We can say that this concept has just completed its infancy, but it continues to grow rapidly. Crypto nomads source their income from cryptocurrencies, NFTs, node setups, decentralized finance (DeFi) tools, airdrop opportunities, working at blockchain technology firms, crypto-based companies (crypto exchanges, NFT markets, DeFi protocols, RWA projects, and so on) and more. They obtain it from the subheadings of crypto. In this way, they can live a free life without being tied to any location, using their income.
Crypto nomads can work on Web3 projects or take on crypto and blockchain-related freelance jobs while managing their digital assets. If they wish, they can also work full-time, part-time or as a freelancer in blockchain, Web3 or crypto-native agencies. Over the last 1-2 years, companies, startups, and agencies have become more willing to equip their employees with various benefits and benefits to support them in becoming digital/crypto nomads. Budgets will gradually increase in this regard, let me tell you.
To illustrate the concept: A crypto nomad can earn income by staking Ethereum while living in Thailand, while also providing consultancy services to DeFi protocol service provider or NFT projects.
