Taurus Expands Its Global Presence with its New Office in Istanbul

Taurus SA, a leading digital asset infrastructure provider, announced that it is expanding its operations with a new office in Istanbul, Türkiye. This step represents another milestone in the company’s international growth strategy, strengthening its position as a technology leader across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas.

This expansion comes at a critical time when Turkey is implementing new regulatory frameworks for digital assets and positioning Istanbul as an emerging hub of financial innovation. The new office will complement Taurus’ existing presence in Dubai, creating a strategic corridor connecting European, Middle Eastern and Asian markets.

Taurus General Manager Bashir Kazour said the following on the subject: “Turkey’s position as a bridge between Europe and Asia makes it an ideal place for Taurus to continue to expand. We have 3 banking customers in Turkey and many ongoing pilot projects.” “This is the right time to establish a local presence in Istanbul and serve our growing customer base.”

M. Batuhan Özcan started working as the first senior employee of Taurus in its newly established Türkiye office. As a Solution Architect, Özcan focuses on serving local and regional customers. Özcan, who brought the technical expertise he gained as a Security Engineer at Garanti BBVA and Blockchain DevOps engineer at Softech, the technology subsidiary of İş Bankası, to Taurus, said:

“Thanks to the rise of Istanbul as a major financial center and Turkey’s forward-thinking approach to digital asset regulations, we are strongly positioned to serve financial institutions in these vital regions.”

Taurus has already established strong relationships in the Turkish market; These relationships include a partnership with Mission Bank, Turkey’s first digital bank, for asset custody and tokenization services.

Mission Bank CEO Dr. Önder Halisdemir said:

“Taurus’ digital asset infrastructure provides the solid foundation we were looking for when launching Turkey’s first tokenization-capable cryptocurrency trading platform. It ensures that tokenized assets are secured within Turkish borders throughout Turkey and the region. Their presence in Istanbul demonstrates their commitment to the Turkish market and will increase our capacity to serve our digital asset customers.”

Additionally, Taurus is preparing to add two new customers to its services in the region. This is seen as a significant milestone in regional growth and underlines its commitment to meeting the needs of institutional investors in the rapidly evolving digital asset space.

The Istanbul office will offer Taurus’ full digital asset management solutions, including asset custody and tokenization services tailored to local regulatory requirements and market needs. This expansion forms part of Taurus’ strategic expansion into key financial centers around the world in 2024.

Today, Taurus has consolidated its position as the preferred digital asset infrastructure provider for banks and corporations, with more than 50% market share in Switzerland. The company continues to expand its global footprint by adding Istanbul to its office network in major financial centers such as London, Paris, Frankfurt, Dubai and Vancouver.
