At Monday’s demonstrations, farmers are demanding the removal of taxes on power used as a means of production in agriculture, increased nutritional safety of products imported into Europe and the implementation of a European law giving priority to local products.
Today’s demonstrations come amid growing cohesion between French and Spanish agricultural organizations, and there is a very specific reason why the two neighboring countries have chosen to join forces. Protests are expected to reach Brussels today.
