The shoes are high-top sneakers in ‘Bitcoin Orange’ and are priced at $499. Only 1,000 pairs are available, each numbered, and five are randomly autographed by Trump.

The shoes were made to “commemorate the first appearance of a US President at the Bitcoin Conference.” The shoes will ship anytime between September and November of this year.

There are also 1,000 other shoes with a similar design available in black, priced at $299 a pair.

Trump’s embrace of crypto

The former president embraced crypto this election cycle and outlined plans to transform U.S. crypto policies if elected. He vowed to remove SEC Chairman Gary Gensler and prevent the U.S. from liquidating its Bitcoin holdings, proposing the creation of a “strategic Bitcoin reserve” instead.

Trump also promised that all BTC belonging to Silk Road would be converted into reserves and argued that the US should never sell its BTC.

The move is another compliment to crypto advocates from Trump, who has accepted political donations in cryptocurrencies and previously launched NFT collectibles.
