Coinbase Points Out Kamala Harris Is Not Accepting Direct Crypto Donations

Coinbase Chief Financial Officer Alesia Haas said in a statement at the Citigroup event yesterday that Harris “accepts donations” but the phrase “She accepts crypto donations for her campaign through Coinbase Commerce” drew attention.

Coinbase Commerce is partnering with Future Forward USA PAC for donations. While Harris’ campaign is not directly receiving crypto donations, Future Forward USA is providing significant support for Harris, further proving that Democrats are somewhat bullish on cryptocurrencies.

Harris’ presidential rival, Donald Trump, continues to enjoy the support of crypto enthusiasts and companies, while Harris’ current presidential administration has been heavily criticized by the industry for its anti-crypto stance.

Future Forward is a hybrid PAC first used for President Joe Biden that can contribute directly to the campaign.
