Alchemy Pay has launched its crypto payment solutions on Telegram via The Open Network.
This addition will allow users of the popular messaging app to transact cryptocurrencies without leaving the platform, making it easier for Telegram’s user base to interact with digital currencies.
The partnership, announced on Alchemy Pay’s X account, is part of the company’s broader mission to bridge the gap between traditional finance and the crypto world.
In other words, Alchemy Pay simplifies the way people send and receive cryptocurrencies via the Telegram app, just like sending a regular message. This new feature makes it easier to use digital currency by keeping everything on one platform.
The network’s native cryptocurrency, Toncoin (TON), has outpaced Bitcoin (BTC), rising by over 8% in the past 24 hours.
Alchemy Pay and Telegram developments
It’s been a busy summer for Alchemy Pay, which recently partnered with Mastercard to improve user verification and prevent identity fraud using advanced machine learning technology. This collaboration has allowed Alchemy Pay to identify genuine users and reduce fraud in its payment gateway system.
Alchemy Pay has also partnered with Paysafe to attract more crypto users in 130 countries, allowing users to purchase crypto using over 40 fiat currencies.
TON, the blockchain originally developed by Telegram, has proven to be a strong foundation for this integration. TON has maintained a growing user base and demonstrated resilience in the competitive crypto market.
Telegram, and therefore TON, has been in the spotlight this summer. Telegram founder Pavel Durov was recently arrested on multiple charges and subsequently released under police jurisdiction in France.
