American production company to release a film about Ripple (details)

Ripple’s XRP, one of the hottest topics in the cryptocurrency space due to the large number of investors and supporters of the token, could soon increase its popularity due to an upcoming movie.

American firm Fruition Productions will release a documentary called “XRP Unleashed” in November this year, which will be available on major platforms such as Amazon and Apple TV.

“The documentary will be available in many places so audiences can watch it in the places they think makes sense,” the company said.

There have been some rumors that the film might also be available on Netflix. However, Fruition Productions said that this has only been speculation, not considering the option:

“Netflix was a rumor that was never true! Also, there would be many intermediaries to get to Netflix that would hurt the project on its way to completion.

The company explained that Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and his executive team did not want to participate in the documentary.

The trailer of the film was released earlier this year. However, the production company said that there will be another “one or two weeks” before the official release.

The perfect time to launch?

Some X users who commented following Fruition Productions’ announcement stated that the timing of the documentary’s release is more than appropriate given XRP’s potential to enter a bull run later this year.

Earlier this month, Judge Torres ruled that the company must pay a $125 million fine for violating certain securities laws. The figure is just a fraction of the $2 billion initially sought by the SEC, which led many industry participants to see the decision as a victory for Ripple.

Both sides have until early October to appeal the ruling. While the development could lead to additional volatility for XRP’s price, neither side has so far moved in that direction.
