ANIME coin unveils tokenomics framework for community ownership

Exploring the allocation and unlocking strategy of the ANIME token for a community-owned anime future.

ANIME token, a new cryptocurrency in the anime space, is being launched on Ethereum and Arbitrum with a focus on community-driven initiatives and ecosystem development.

The ANIME token is a blockchain-based project designed to provide fans and creators in the anime community with a means to participate in the growth of the industry. The project leverages the scalable platforms of Ethereum (ETH) and Arbitrum (ARB), creating a decentralized environment for participation and collaboration within the anime ecosystem.

Recently, the tokenomics of the ANIME token was revealed, providing a detailed structure on how the 10 billion token supply will be allocated.

The majority of the total supply (50.5 percent) is allocated to grants and programs managed by the Animecoin Foundation. These funds will support creators, developers, and other contributors who interact with the ecosystem.

The Azuki community, known as early backers, will receive 37.5% of the total token supply, all of which will be unlocked at launch. Unclaimed tokens from this allocation will be transferred to the Community Cultivation Fund, which holds 13% of the total supply. This fund will be managed by ANIME token holders through the upcoming AnimeDAO, which will direct the funds towards community-driven projects.

The Animecoin Foundation will also receive 24.44% of the total supply, which will be used for ecosystem growth, operational expenses, and various initiatives aimed at integrating Animecoin into the broader anime industry. Partner communities such as Hyperliquid (HYPE stakers) and Kaito Yappers will receive 2% of the total supply.

15.62% of the total supply for team members, contractors, and Azuki employees was determined through a three-year unlock program. A one-year cliff will be implemented, followed by incremental token releases over the remaining two years. The Azuki company will hold a 7.44% stake with a similar unlock plan.

The unlock program for other categories such as Foundation, partner communities, and Azuki community will be fully unlocked at launch, making these tokens available immediately. However, team and company allocations will be subject to the previously stated unlock times.

ANIME aims to provide a decentralized model that prioritizes the participation of both fans and creators with its community-driven tokenomics. The project’s ETH and ARB integration aims to ensure scalability and transaction efficiency by enabling seamless interaction on the network.
