The collaboration requires users to update the Bison app to version 4.4.0, accept the revised terms and conditions, and consent to their euro balances being held in an escrow account managed by Deutsche Bank.
Bison clarified that these changes will not affect fees, transaction limits, or deposit and withdrawal speeds. Users can continue to access their balances without interruption and their existing IBAN information remains unchanged. Deposits will continue to be protected under legal insurance and coverage will be provided up to 100,000 Euros per depositor and per bank.
Deutsche Bank’s recent activities in crypto services include a December 2024 partnership with Crypto.com, which provides corporate banking support in Asia-Pacific regions such as Singapore, Australia and Hong Kong.
Additionally, Deutsche Bank is participating in Project Checkers 2, an initiative within Project Guardian’s Monetary Authority of Singapore. The program includes 24 financial institutions exploring the use of blockchain for asset tokenization.
