Bitcoin (BTC) Claims $61,000, Aptos (APT) Rises 10% Daily (Market Watch)

Bitcoin’s recent declines continued in the past 24 hours, as the asset dipped below $60,000 on a couple of occasions, but has managed to recover more than a million and a half since then.

Altcoins are also slightly in the green today after recent pullbacks, with DOGE, SHIB and LINK emerging as the top gainers from the biggest caps.

BTC bounces back above $61,000

It hasn’t been a good week for the primary cryptocurrency so far, and there are signs that today will be another volatile day. The asset was above $66,000 on Sunday, but began to lose value rapidly in the following days.

It dipped to $63,000 on Monday, rose to $64,000, but pushed south to $62,000 on Tuesday and continued to decline on Wednesday and Thursday. This culminated in a dip below $60,000 a few times to mark a three-week low.

However, the bulls managed to intervene after the last such correction and defended this coveted level. Additionally, BTC has risen over $1,500 since then and now sits around $61,500.

Its market cap has increased by more than $20 billion since yesterday and is approaching $1.22 trillion in CG. His dominance over the highs, however, has lost some ground and is down to 54.4% in CG.

Most altcoins followed BTC on the way south, with some posting even more painful falls. However, they have managed to stop the freefall and are now in the green on a daily basis.

After gains of 1-2%, ETH has approached $2,400, while BNB has taken advantage of $550. Solana, Ripple, Tron and Bitcoin Cash have posted similar overnight gains.

The most impressive price jumps come from the likes of Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, Chainlink, Cardano, Avalanche and others. Aptos has soared 10% daily to nearly $9, followed by BEAM (9.5%) and AAVE (9.5%).

The total crypto market capitalization rises by about $40 billion in one day and has risen to $2.24 trillion in CG.
