Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds in the US recorded inflows of approximately $1 billion on January 6 as Bitcoin managed to rise to the $102,000 level.
According to SoSoValue data, 12 spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $987.06 million in inflows on Monday, marking their second consecutive day of inflows. During these two days, ETFs saw inflows of over $900 million each day, or approximately $1.89 billion.
The recent increase in inflows has nearly offset the streak of lower demand observed in the second half of December, when ETFs experienced net outflows of approximately $1.9 billion between Dec. 19 and Jan. 2.
Meanwhile, inflows seen on Monday, January 6, were led by Fidelity’s FBTC, which entered the fund with $370.24 million, followed by BlackRock’s IBIT and ARK 21Shares, which attracted $209.08 million and $152.92 million of investor money, respectively. ‘s ARKB has arrived.
Biwise’s BITB, Grayscale’s spot BTC ETFs codenamed GBTC and BTC also contributed to the positive momentum, recording $75.23 million, $73.79 million and $71.19 million respectively.
More modest positive flows were seen from VanEck’s HODL, Franklin Templeton’s EZBC and Valkyrie’s BRRR, which pulled in $17.33 million, $8.88 million and $8.38 million on the day. The remaining three BTC ETFs remained neutral.
The total daily trading volume of these investment products reached $3.96 billion on January 6, well above the $2.59 billion recorded the previous day.
The strong inflows on Monday occurred as Bitcoin continued its rise and managed to surpass the $102,000 level; This has sparked new excitement and institutional interest in Bitcoin ETF products.
