(Reuters) – Bitcoin mining company Bitfarms said on Tuesday that its co-founder and chairman Nicolas Bonta will resign from its board of directors, effective immediately.
Bonta was at the centre of a boardroom battle launched by Bitfarms’ US-based rival Riot Platforms against the company in April.
Bitfarms’ executive chairman, Brian Howlett, will replace the outgoing chairman.
Bitfarms also appointed Liam Wilson as chief operating officer and announced that new CEO Ben Gagnon will join the board of directors.
