Bitcoin Regains $68,000 Level, Dogecoin, Polkadot Post Impressive Gains (Market Watch)

The price of Bitcoin continued to rise since Saturday night’s drop and jumped above $68,000 and even approached $68,500 earlier today.

Altcoins are also slightly in the green today, with BNB above $590 and ETH above $2,500.

The major cryptocurrency saw some volatility in the previous business week amid massive inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs. It went from over $69,500 on Monday to $65,000 in a few days to Wednesday. Another rally came and pushed it north to nearly $69,000 on Thursday, but the bears returned on Friday night and started another downward leg.

It was fueled by FUD around Tether and BTC dropped to $65,500 overnight. However, the bulls emerged almost immediately and took bitcoin to $67,000 over the weekend.

The asset continued to gain strength in the early hours of Monday. It rose above $68,000 and rose to a multi-day high of $68,500. However, it has lost some ground since then, but still sits above $68,000.

Its market capitalization has risen to $1.35 trillion, while its dominance of the highs stands at 55.8% in CG.

Elon Musk, known for his open support of the world’s oldest and largest meme coin, did it again last night, posting a meme related to DOGE on X. The result was similar to the previous examples and the price of Dogecoin increased by about 3-4. % in minutes. It is now trading above $0.14.

Polkadot is the other notable benefit of larger-cap alternatives. DOT has shot up 4% to near $4.20. Ethereum is north of $2,500 after a 1.5% rise, BNB is above $590 after a 1.4% daily jump, while SOL, RP, TON, ADA, AVAX, SHIB, BCH and LINK are also in green.

In contrast, TRX, LEO and SUI have recorded some losses. In the case of SUI, the daily price drop is quite painful (-4%).

The total crypto market cap has bounced back above $2.4 trillion and now stands at $2.420 trillion.
