Michael Saylor promised Microsoft’s board of directors to present the benefits of Bitcoin for the company in just 3 minutes, and he did.
MicroStrategy Chief Executive Officer Michael Saylor presented the Bitcoin strategic reserve to Microsoft (MSFT) boards on December 01, as previously promised. He emphasized that Bitcoin is a transformation of digital capital and that they should adopt Bitcoin as part of their balance sheets in the next few years.
Bitcoin is predicted to become one of the largest assets in the world, accounting for $280 trillion in global wealth; This figure exceeds gold and art, with $45 trillion and $110 trillion respectively over the next 20 years.
Saylor also noted that Microsoft should clearly be backed by digital capital, as Bitcoin’s price action has outperformed Microsoft shares by 12x annually. MicroStrategy (MSTR) shares have also gained 3,045% after buying Bitcoin over the past few years, while MSFT has only outperformed 103%.
“Bitcoin is the best asset you can have. The numbers speak for themselves. It makes much more sense to buy Bitcoin instead of buying back your own shares or to hold Bitcoin instead of holding bonds. If you want to outperform, you need Bitcoin,” Saylor said in his presentation posted on YouTube.
The political and market support represented by the Trump administration and the Bitcoin ETF’s listed products will also drive mass adoption of Bitcoin over the next few years, and so will Microsoft.
Michael Saylor offers a choice
Saylor offers the Microsoft board a choice: cling to the past with a traditional financial strategy that is slow to grow and increases investor risk, or innovate that strategy by embracing Bitcoin’s future with accelerated growth.

He also pitches Bitcoin24, which customizes Bitcoin products for companies, to boards and predicts Microsoft shares will rise to $584 from the last share price.
The company’s market value would increase by between $1 trillion and $4.9 trillion per share if it implements Bitcoin’s strategic reserve.
The value created by Bitcoin adoption is projected to reduce Microsoft stock exposure from 95% to 59%, while annual recurring revenue will increase from 10.4% to 15.8%.
