LayerZero launches on June 20, Arbitrum (ARB) It prepared the way for a huge increase in prices. A record daily revenue of $3.43 million was recorded for the Arbitrum blockchain, which equates to an increase of approximately 16,680 percent compared to the previous day.
LayerZero launched its ZRO token on Thursday, but the system that requires claimants to donate a small amount to receive their tokens has drawn criticism. These mechanics increased average gas prices on the blockchain network from less than 1 cent to as high as 89 cents. According to Dune Analytics and DefiLlama data, this created another record, with the network’s profits rising to $3.29 million during the day.
LayerZero was a driving force for Arbitrum (ARB)
LayerZero stated that those who request ZRO tokens must donate a small amount of money per token.
“To claim ZRO, users must donate $0.10 per ZRO in USDC, USDT, or local ETH,” LayerZero said in its X post dated June 20. It was stated that donations will go to the Protocol Guild, which helps fund Ethereum developers.
LayerZero emphasized that the token offering “is not an airdrop” because airdrops do not align with “the goals of fair distribution, community building, and protocol health” as many buyers have “little or no interest” in the project in the long term. This was recorded as Arbitrum’s biggest revenue day since December 14, when it earned $2.13 million in revenue.
ZRO has lost ground in recent hours. According to CoinGecko, the token dropped by 23 percent in the last 24 hours to $ 3.42.
