Rapper Wiz Khalifa’s X account was reportedly hacked by scammers who launched a Pump.fun-based meme coin WIZ. ZachXBT suspects that Truth Terminal’s founder is the same hacker who took over his X account.
Blockchain researcher ZachXBT shared a screenshot of a deleted post from American rapper Wiz Khalifa’s X account on his Telegram channel on November 4. The account currently has approximately 35.7 million followers.
ZachXBT has warned traders not to purchase the Pump.fun meme coin WIZ as it believes the rapper’s account was hacked by an anonymous scammer looking to sell fake meme coins.
“Don’t buy Wiz Khalifa pump entertainment [token] The same hacker who compromised Andy Ayrey (creator of Truth Terminal) the other day,” ZachXBT wrote in the public Telegram group.
In the deleted X post, the hacker wrote on Wiz Khalifa’s account that he was “working with my team to bring $WIZ to the entire cryptocurrency world.” The account then went on to share a link to a pump.fun Solana (SOL)-based meme coin that followers could purchase.
According to data from DEX Screener, the price of the WIZ meme coin increased by almost 2,000% and its market cap reached a peak of over $2.5 million in the first 15 minutes after launch. However, within the next hour, memecoin’s market cap dropped below $28,000 as its original owners began offloading large amounts of tokens.
At the time of writing, WIZ is down more than 90% in the last 24 hours. According to DEX Screener data, the Pump.fun token is currently trading at a market cap of $7,900.

After the meme money-related posts were deleted, there are no other posts on Wiz Khalifa’s account, indicating whether the rapper or his team regained control of the account.
While the exact identity of the hacker is still unknown, independent blockchain detective ZachXBT believes he is the same hacker responsible for taking over Truth Terminal developer Andy Ayrey’s account.
On October 29, crypto scammers took over the X account of Truth Terminal creator Andy Ayrey to promote a dubious meme coin. They managed to make more than $600,000 by using the account to promote a token called Infinite Backrooms, or IB.
The token takes its name from the AI chat room experiment that ultimately led to the creation of the AI-powered X account Truth Terminal. The scammers promised to airdrop the upcoming token to anyone who shares and promotes the Telegram group.
On November 1, Ayrey posted about the takeover of account X. He said he was hoping scammers would airdrop some IB tokens into his crypto wallet, but it appears he only received “dummy copies.” He also asked crypto wallet researchers if they could provide a list of known fraudulent wallets to block.
“Is there a good wallet investigator out there who can blacklist a list of all known wallets of the scammer to prevent them from taking advantage of such actions we might consider performing?” Ayrey wrote.
