Cryptocurrency is also wanted to be discussed in the program where Biden and Trump will appear

This year’s US presidential election was the first in which cryptocurrencies emerged as a valuable political issue. The industry is lobbying on whether this issue will come up when President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump face off on the CNN program.

Crypto advocacy group Stand With Crypto has launched an online petition campaign to persuade CNN, which will host the program, to include crypto. A spokesperson for the cluster said yesterday that approximately 2,300 people had signed and sent petitions calling for “crypto questions”.

Spokesperson Sabrina Siddiqui, “It would be remiss of CNN not to use this opportunity to let Americans know where their leading candidates stand on this important economic issue.”said.

Compared to Stand With Crypto “Giving presidential candidates the chance to weigh in on this transformational technology in the primary debate will go a long way toward educating voters and helping American crypto holders cast an informed vote.”

Blockchain Association CEO Kristin Smith:

“The fact that we are discussing crypto as a possible issue on the biggest stage of presidential politics is remarkable and indicative of how much progress we have made in bringing the cost of the industry into the national political debate. “The crypto industry and its growing user base are eager for candidates to weigh in on their approach to digital assets.”

Trump openly supports US crypto mining and is against the US issuing a central bank digital currency (CBDC). He also condemns Biden’s effort to tax miners and the Biden administration’s interest in CBDCs.

DeFi Education Fund spokesperson said, “We expect candidates to discuss not only how to regulate digital assets, but also how to create responsible regulations that do not stifle innovation in the United States.”said.
