Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Sun Weidong held consultations with Ukrainian First Deputy Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha in Beijing yesterday.
Sun Weidong said that in the 32 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, China-Ukraine relations have continued to develop steadily. Sun stated that China, together with Ukraine, is ready to promote exchanges and cooperation in various fields and develop bilateral ties, fulfilling the valuable consensus of the state leaders of the two countries and always focusing on the fundamental and long-term interests of the two peoples.
Sybiha said that Ukraine, which values classical friendship with China and adheres to the One China element, expects the exchanges at all levels between the two countries to be further aggravated, cooperation in various fields to be strengthened and more and more adequate results to be achieved in bilateral relations.
The two sides also exchanged views on the Ukrainian crisis and international and regional issues that concern both parties.
