As rumors circulate about the Trump Organization’s new crypto venture, company chairman Eric Trump hinted that it would involve “digital real estate.”
The Trump Organization, a real estate giant led by former President Donald Trump’s family, is reportedly preparing to make a new entry into the cryptocurrency space.
In an interview with the New York Post on August 14, Trump Organization executive vice president Eric Trump offered some perspective on the upcoming project, stating that it would focus on “digital real estate.” While he did not say whether this would involve non-fungible tokens, tokenized real-world assets, or another type of digital property, he hinted at the potential impact of the initiative, suggesting that it could introduce a new form of “collateral” that “anyone can access and do instantly.”
“I don’t know if people realize what a big shake-up this is for the banking and financial world. I hope we can help change that.”

Highlighting the potential social impact of the initiative, he noted that “more than half” of the US population “cannot afford to be banked.” According to Eric Trump, the technology behind this new initiative could allow individuals to have their loan applications approved or rejected “nearly instantly” based on mathematical assessments, rather than traditional banking policies.

Earlier in August, Donald Trump Jr. posted on X, saying that the crypto market should be ready for an announcement that would “shake up” the ecosystem. Meanwhile, Eric Trump admitted in a separate X post that he was really into crypto/DeFi and that a big development was coming around it.
Adding to the speculation, real estate mogul and Trump ally Steve Witkoff posted on X extolling the potential of crypto and decentralized finance. The crypto community has been abuzz with theories that the Trump Organization may be planning a project related to RWA, allowing investors to purchase tokenized shares of Trump’s real estate holdings. However, the company has yet to make an official statement confirming these rumors.
