HEX slumps, Interpol puts founder on ‘most wanted’ list

Interpol has placed Hex founder Richard Schueler, known as Richard Heart, on its global wanted list via a Red Notice following allegations of tax evasion and assault in Finland.

The Red Notice serves as a worldwide request for law enforcement to locate and temporarily arrest Schueler.

Finnish authorities are pursuing Schueler’s arrest based on allegations of tax evasion dating back to June 2, 2020, and April 2, 2024. The case has taken on added significance as Schueler is now on the list of Europe’s most wanted fugitives and authorities detail disturbing allegations of assault involving a minor. .

Schueler allegedly “physically assaulted a 16-year-old victim by grabbing her by the hair, dragging her into the stairwell, and knocking her to the ground,” according to the listing.

Although Schueler did not directly address the Red Notice, which followed an arrest warrant issued three months ago, he maintained an active presence on social media.

“Why would he agree to be wanted when he could be the most wanted person?” Schueler highlighted his various ventures, including self-help books and P2P publishing software.

The crypto market reacted quickly to this news, with Hex (HEX) experiencing a sharp 25% drop in value following the announcement.

The price of HEX is down over 99% since its all-time high of $0.5561. Although the Red Notice does not constitute an international arrest warrant, it does increase the pressure on Schueler.
