Immutable announced a strategic partnership with Altura, a web3 infrastructure platform focused on the gaming industry.
According to the announcement, Immutable (IMX) and Altura will collaborate to deliver a new marketplace and solutions designed to improve the player-driven economy in blockchain games.
The partnership will integrate Immutable’s Passport and Checkout infrastructure into gaming projects and expand these features into the Ethereum (ETH) gaming ecosystem.
Web3 gaming projects at Altura will also join Immutable’s zkEVM Main Quest program. Altura will contribute $5 million to the initiative aimed at supporting player rewards.
Main Quest is the largest rewards program in the web3 gaming industry, with up to $50 million allocated to player incentives. The program supports more than 300 funded games.
“By partnering with Altura, we continue to participate in the next generation of games currently in development, while giving studios access to our Main Quest Rewards program and opening the door for a whole new base of players to start playing in Immutable,” said Robbie. Ferguson is co-founder and president of Immutable.
Immutable and Altura developers will benefit from features such as asset tracking, zkEVM integration, and technical support.
The partnership with Altura follows another important collaboration between Yield Guild Games and Immutable. Joining forces with the Web3 guild protocol is another step for Immutable that looks set to accelerate the game’s adoption across the ecosystem.
YGG and Immutable will invest $1 million in the partnership to increase player rewards as players receive IMX and YGG rewards. The price of IMX has increased by 6% in the last 24 hours, while YGG has increased by approximately 8% at the time of writing.
