Injective, a blockchain protocol for finance, announced the release of a new software development kit that allows users to create their own AI agents on-chain.
Announced by Injective (INJ) on November 19, iAgent is a software development kit designed to work with large language models such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT to deliver on-chain AI agents to users. Injective stated that iAgent aims to redefine the possibilities of artificial intelligence for finance.
Introduced at Injective Summit 2024, the AI-powered tool is designed to facilitate blockchain interactions. With iAgent, users can leverage natural language processing for tasks like sending payments, making transactions, and managing funds.
Agentic AI systems also automate user interactions with databases, APIs, and applications. iAgents work like bots or automated assistants, and users can develop multiple agents tailored to specific purposes. Each agent can be configured independently.
“Once you set up the agents, you use everyday English commands to interact with them. For example, you might have one representative to track market data and one representative dedicated to executing trades,” he said at Injective X.
The launch of the iAgent initiative is in line with Injective’s broader efforts to expand its presence across various market sectors. Recently, the layer-1 protocol has gained traction in the real-world assets space, competing with other platforms through innovations such as the BUIDL Index tracking BlackRock’s tokenized fund.
Injective has also partnered with Mountain Protocol, issuer of yield-generating stablecoin USDM, to offer tokenized US Treasury bills to its users.
