Investors say a six-figure Bitcoin (BTC) price is coming soon.

Steven Lubka, head of private clients and family offices at Swan Bitcoin, recently told CNBC: “Do I think we’ll be in six figures by 2025? Almost certainly. Do I think we’ll be in six figures regardless of who wins? Almost certainly .”

This can assure fast-moving crypto markets that they get a dime and put some value in the idea that the outcome of the election could swing prices one way or the other. VanEck set a goal of $100,000 BTC by the end of 2024 in December if Trump wins.

US Presidential Election and Potential Impact

Shortly after Tuesday’s debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, meme coins in favor of the Republican nominee dropped in price, with the Democrat upending the Republican at Polymarket.

Polymarket is Ethereum’s largest betting market, and Harris led Trump Thursday evening, 50% to 49%, with a betting pool of nearly $900 billion.

The price of Bitcoin has followed a cycle for over twelve years. It usually recovers for about a year and months after the regularly scheduled supply cut every four years. The last supply cut was on April 19 and most experts believe the real impact has yet to be felt.

The current price of crypto exchanges has also resulted in a strong correlation with the US Federal Reserve Federal Funds Rate. The Fed signaled in August that it is close to resuming interest rate cuts, which are expected to begin next week during the FOMC meeting. Current estimates state that the Fed will cut rates by 25 basis points.

65% of US consumers expect Crypto to replace cash

Meanwhile, the cryptocurrency industry is at the tipping point of a sea change in mass adoption based on a new result from Deutsche Bank’s US consumer survey.

The survey found that a strong majority (65% of US consumers) believe that crypto could one day replace cash to avenge the future of nerds.

With such a fixed place in the public consciousness, it doesn’t seem that Bitcoin is too afraid of where the partisan lines are drawn in the US government next January.
