io.net and Injective join forces to power DeFAI

io.net and Injective are joining forces to power the future of decentralized finance and artificial intelligence on the Injective network.

The decentralized physical infrastructure network io.net (IO) will help make this a reality with the expansion of the decentralized GPU computing network to Injective (INJ). The Injective team announced the development via a blog post on January 14.

The platform-by-platform integration is live and io.net now supports DeFAI developers on the INJ network.

The DePIN market is currently around $32 billion and io.net is one of the leading projects in the industry in terms of market value. The top projects in the industry include Render, Filecoin, Theta Network and The Graph. According to Crypto.news data, the market value of io.net is 393 million dollars as of January 14, 2025.

Meanwhile, AI Agents and AI market caps are $13 billion and $44 billion, respectively. Injective, which is backed by leading venture capital firms such as Binance’s Jump Crypto and Pantera Capital, has a market capitalization of $2.03 billion. Injective is blockchain for DeFi, real-world assets, and artificial intelligence.

io.net and Injective are advancing decentralized computing and AI on the blockchain, opening up the web3 space for builders with existing tools leveraging Injective’s iAgent framework and o.net’s decentralized GPU network.

In December 2024, Injective and Aethir announced a major collaboration that launched tokenized GPU compute resource allocation.

The initiative involves converting GPU resources into tokens that can be traded on Injective. This means that developers, researchers and businesses can access computational resources more flexibly and at affordable prices within the AI ecosystem.
