Kamala Harris takes lead ahead of Trump: Polymarket

Bettors on market prediction platform Polymarket have increased their bets following the Democratic presidential candidate’s new pro-crypto campaign.

US Vice President Kamala Harris’ lobby group “Crypto For Harris” will hold a virtual meeting questioning Donald Trump’s influence in the cryptocurrency space, Fox Business reported.

The date has not yet been confirmed, but the report states that the meeting will be held next week.

According to the news, some Democratic members of the House of Representatives, as well as pro-Bitcoin (BTC) billionaire and entrepreneur Mark Cuban and SkyBridge Capital founder Anthony Scaramucci will speak at the event.

The advocacy group also invited top Senate Democratic leaders to support the Harris campaign, Fox Business reported.

Last month, former US president and Republican presidential candidate Trump attracted a lot of attention from the crypto community for his support of the digital asset space and hinting at creating a national BTC reserve at the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville.

However, the Democratic candidate’s recent pro-crypto movements have also garnered support from the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

According to data provided by Polymarket, bettors have increased their bets on Harris’ chances of winning the 2024 US elections this November. Currently, Harris’s chances of winning the election have reached 50%, surpassing Trump’s.
