Man robbed and murdered over 3 Bitcoin in Kyiv 

Kiev police have detained four people in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a 29-year-old foreigner.

The crime was premeditated and motivated by around 3 Bitcoins (BTC). The Ukrainian National Police reported the incident in the Solomianskyi district of Kiev, Ukraine, after residents heard screams and saw several men beating a man and dragging him into a car around midnight.

A large-scale police operation was launched in Kiev and surrounding areas to find and apprehend the suspects.

Details of the crypto murder

The suspects, aged between 24 and 29, meticulously planned the kidnapping. After discovering that the victim had BTC, they followed her home. When she returned, they attacked her and forcibly took her to an abandoned structure in the Kiev area, according to Censor.net.

At a secret location, the suspects forced the victim to transfer his BTC to their crypto wallet before strangling him. To cover their tracks, they changed the license plate and appearance of the vehicle, buried the body in a forest, and converted the stolen crypto into cash.

KORD special unit, together with law enforcement officers, successfully detained the suspects. During the operation, the police seized money, the vehicle used in the crime and other important evidence.

The case is currently under investigation and the suspects have been charged with robbery, kidnapping, murder for profit and concealment. The swift and coordinated police response was instrumental in solving this brutal crime.
