Manta Network launches 4-year Gas Gain program

Manta Network has announced a four-year program that will enable its modular blockchain for zero-knowledge applications to share gas rewards with platform users.

On September 30, Manta Network introduced its “Gas Earnings” plan, which aims to return 50% of gas fees to web3 users as MANTA tokens.

Over the next four years, the project will return half of all Manta Pacific gas profits to the community’s most active members. Manta Pacific is an Ethereum (ETH) virtual machine equivalent zero-knowledge platform leveraging Celestia DA and Polygon zkEVM.

Users will collect points to earn rewards

To qualify, Manta users must be among the top 400 users with the highest scores within a two-month period.

Users will earn points based on their overall interaction within the ecosystem and their holding of MANTA tokens. Possible decentralized applications and protocols with which users can interact include decentralized finance, non-fungible tokens, and games.

Well-known contributors within the ecosystem will also benefit, including those who own Golden Shovel NFTs or existing participants in programs such as repurchase and Manta CeDeFi.

10 million MANTA allocation

At the end of each two-month period, the team will distribute half of all gas fees across the protocols to eligible users. On-chain activity and established criteria will determine distribution.

The project will continue for the next four years and will benefit from an additional allocation of 10 million MANTA from the Manta Foundation, representing 1% of the total Manta supply.

MANTA’s token was launched on exchanges in January 2024, and Binance listed it as the 44th Launchpool project.
