MoonPay breaks Solana transaction record twice in two days

On November 19, MoonPay reported a 295% increase in SOL activity, driven by the cryptocurrency’s recent rise. At 11 a.m. Eastern time on November 20, they had broken the record set on the 19th.

In a record-breaking day for Solana (SOL), more SOL transactions were seen on MoonPay in a single day than in the entire month of November 2023.

The milestone on November 19 marked a 295% increase in MoonPay’s 2024 daily Solana transaction average and demonstrated growing interest in the Solana blockchain as a decentralized financial ecosystem.

MoonPay’s latest partnerships

The increase in activity reflects MoonPay’s strengthened presence in the Solana area, with the help of partnerships such as PayPal or MoonPay. These collaborations have simplified the onboarding of new users, enabling seamless crypto purchases and interaction with DeFi applications and NFTs.

While Solana has gained popularity for its fast transaction speeds and low fees that appeal to both retail and enterprise users, MoonPay’s performance demonstrates the growing adoption of Solana’s blockchain in a variety of applications, including gaming and decentralized finance.
