NFT sales surge to $93m, Ethereum network dethrones Bitcoin

According to the latest data, weekly non-fungible token sales volume increased by 22.5% and now stands at $93 million.

While the crypto market is showing slow signs of recovery, the NFT market is experiencing increases in volume and other metrics. Here’s a little glimpse:

NFT sales volume increased from $77.6 million last week to $93 million. The Ethereum (ETH) network has dethroned the Bitcoin (BTC) network in terms of volume. Bitcoin, which maintained its top spot, fell behind Ethereum in terms of sales volume in the last seven days.

Ethereum NFT sales volume increased from $26.6 million last week. Sales increased by over 30% and reached $33.4 million at press time.

Bitcoin also increased by 36%, with weekly sales volume reaching $21.6 million.

However, in the case of Ethereum, $5.3 million of the volume comes from wash trades. This is quite high compared to Bitcoin’s $902,000 wash.

Cryptoslam data shows that Solana (SOL) remains firmly in third place, as it was last week. Solana’s weekly NFT sales volume amounted to $16.6 million.

Mythos Chain (MYTH) and Polygon (POL) took the next two spots on the leaderboard with sales of $5.5 million and $3.9 million, respectively.

In terms of the number of NFT buyers, Solana maintained its dominance at 192,543. This is a significant increase of 220% compared to last week’s 60,115.

DMarket has maintained the top spot in the NFT Collectible Rankings by Sales Volume (CryptoSlam) for more than three weeks

DMarket maintains its ranking with the highest sales ($5.2 million), as it has for the last two weeks. But sales were down nearly 30% from last week’s $8.02 million.

Uncategorized Ordinals is second on the list with sales of $4.86 million. This NFT collectible has seen a 1,800% increase in sales over the last seven days.
