Nuffle Labs, a universal repurchase platform, and Wormhole, an interoperability protocol, announced a new solution to connect different blockchain networks through native cross-chain repurchase.
This solution hopes to allow users to repurchase their assets without relying on token bridges, a process that often carries security risks.
According to a note from Nuffle Labs shared with crypto.news, the integration enables secure interactions between various blockchain networks using Wormhole’s (W) messaging system and Nuffle Labs’ new Fast Finality AVS.
Re-allocation of assets
The system combines EigenLayer’s restaking infrastructure, allowing users to use any blockchain that supports Layer 1 (e.g., Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH)) or Layer 2 solutions (e.g., Polygon (MATIC), Arbitrum (ARB)). allows it to repurchase assets in the chain. . This eliminates the need for users to move their assets between blockchains via traditional bridging methods, which are often prone to hacking.
Redemption allows users who hold blockchain tokens to earn additional rewards by securing multiple protocols or services. For example, users can stake Ethereum tokens to help verify transactions on the Ethereum network and “repurchase” the same tokens to support additional networks or applications.
“This is just the beginning for us,” said Altan Tutar, CEO and Co-Founder of Nuffle Labs. “We eliminate the risks associated with traditional token bridging, allowing assets to be redeployed from anywhere.”
The blockchain industry has grown rapidly, with more than 600 million users and a market cap of $3.72 trillion in 2024, according to Nuffle Labs.
This expansion has increased demand for better ways to connect blockchain networks. More than 300 active blockchains currently operate independently, creating challenges for users who want to interact with multiple platforms.
Nuffle Labs and Wormhole plan to launch a testnet in the coming months that will allow users to explore cross-chain repurchases. Their goal is to create a system where assets can move seamlessly between chains, enabling activities such as lending, borrowing and repurchasing without restrictions.
