Shiba Inu Presents Special Airdrop Ahead of TREAT Release: Details

The Shiba Inu ecosystem continues to evolve, expanding beyond its origins as a meme currency. The most recent example of this progress is the upcoming release of TREAT, scheduled for January 14th. The coin is designed to improve utility and engagement across all projects on the network. It will also serve as a reward token within the ecosystem and provide liquidity for the proposed stablecoin SHI.

Some of the top cryptocurrency exchanges that have already adopted TREAT include KuCoin, Gate.io, Bitget, MEXC Exchange and more. To celebrate the launch, three of them have also presented a special airdrop to users.

LUCIE, Shibarium’s Marketing Strategist, explained in detail how people can claim TREAT Tokens. First, they need to create a Bitget, KuCoin or Gate.io account. Second, they should visit the official Shiba Inu website, provide a user ID and deposit the designated address. Once these details are submitted, the accounts will be whitelisted and “ready to receive TREAT tokens”.

“Follow these steps carefully and always use official platforms. Shib is dedicated to maintaining a safe environment – ​​follow the trust process and avoid shortcuts,” LUCIE added.

Gate.io has pledged to distribute 1,000,000 TREAT, KuCoin will release 3,000,000 coins, while Bitget users will distribute 87,450,000 tokens.

In addition to announcing the details behind the airdrops, LUCIE also warned people to remain cautious due to possible fraudulent schemes surrounding the drop. X users advised users not to click on any links on X (formerly known as Twitter) or connect their wallets.

Earlier this month, Shibarium Trustwatch (an X account that purports to provide security) maintained that bad actors have used the continued excitement as an opportunity to offer fake TREAT services to unsuspecting victims:
