According to an announcement by PlayWithShib, Agent Shiboshi (a game developed as part of the Shiba Inu ecosystem) is now available on iOS. The development follows “an amazing response” from Android users.

Agent Shiboshi is a blockchain-based game that allows players to use their Shiboshi NFTs, where each digital collectible represents a specific character or “agent”. The game incorporates missions and battles and has elements of strategy and adventure.

The Shiboshi NFTs, on the other hand, are a collection of 10,000 non-fungible art-style tokens that depict the Shiba Inu dog in different aspects and with different accessories. Digital art includes a recording mechanism where owners can change the names of their NFTs for a fee paid to SHIB. A portion of these tokens are then permanently removed from circulation.

Shiba Inu and its Layer 2 blockchain solution, Shibarium, have also adopted a recording program. The meme coin project relies heavily on voluntary initiatives where enthusiastic members of the SHIB community send tokens to a null address.

The recording mechanism built into the L2 scaling solution is directly tied to its blockchain operations. Every time a transaction occurs on the network, a fraction of the fees paid to Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) is used to buy SHIB tokens on the open market. Subsequently, this material is withdrawn from circulation.

It’s not the only SHIB game

Agent Shiboshi is one of the two main games based on Shiba Inu, the other being Shiba Eternity. The latter allows players to trade, collect and battle with cards featuring various characters, themes and items inspired by the meme currency.

Not long ago, Shibarium’s marketing strategist, who goes by the moniker X LUCIE, revealed that the “Shiba Eternity closed beta is live.” They claimed that it’s not “just the old game with some updates”, but a complete change to Web3 with vital updates.

Some of the key features after the upgrade include a new ranked mode, elite tournaments, improved user experience and improved rewards.
