At a time when the Web3 world is undergoing significant changes on a global scale and markets are becoming more active, important players and opinion leaders of the ecosystem are coming together in Dubai as part of Binance Blockchain Week. While more than 4,000 people are expected to physically attend the two-day event, which will take place at the Coca-Cola Arena, a wide audience will be reached via online broadcast.
The theme of BBW 2024 was chosen in accordance with the basic dynamics of the ecosystem: Momentum. Momentum, which is formulated in physics as the product of speed and mass, reflects an active quest to create a value-oriented growth between the mass and speed of the sector and, if possible, to increase them.
In this period where the crypto industry continues to develop, some critical questions come to the fore. While the ecosystem continues to grow, will it be able to do so in a healthy and value-producing format? How will global regulations affect the direction of the industry? How can the fundamental values of crypto be protected as the transition between the conventional world and the crypto world increases? How will the crypto ecosystem be affected in an age dominated by artificial intelligence?
These and many other questions will be discussed in different sessions over two days. The meeting, which will host many names such as He Yi, one of the co-founders of Binance, Richard Teng, CEO of Binance, Jeremy Allaire, CEO of Circle, and Alex Svanevik, CEO of Nansen, will include important issues on the agenda.
Binance CMO Rachel Conlan said, “Events like Binance Blockchain Week are very important in shaping the future as blockchain technology continues to evolve. “In this event, we aim to provide a collaborative platform where key stakeholders such as developers, companies, regulators will come together and engage in dialogue on shaping technological developments, regulatory frameworks and standards.”
One of the important verticals of BBW 2024 is Dubai… This important center of the Middle East stands out not only by hosting the event but also by being positioned as an important center for the crypto ecosystem. Dubai, which aims to attract global players and investors with the recent regulations and the long-term road map, is Istanbul’s biggest rival in the region. Dubai Future Foundation CEO Khalfan Belhoul, The Blockchain Center in Abu Dhabi CEO Abdulla Aldhaheri, Dubai Blockchain Center CEO Dr. Names such as Marwan Alzarouni will give important clues about Dubai’s future strategy in the Blockchain world.
The reflections of the convergence of the blockchain world with traditional sectors are also evident at the event. The participation of infrastructure providers such as Amazon Web Services, financial services companies such as Mastercard, Vodafone, Sotheby’s, Google, TikTok and Microsoft gives an important clue that new applications and scenarios will come to life in the coming period.
