The long-awaited token listing from the Hamster Kombat game appears to have been postponed. What rumors are floating around the community and when can we expect HMSTR to appear on exchanges?
Users of popular clicker game Hamster Kombat have waited months for the game’s cryptocurrency to be listed on crypto exchanges. The HMSTR listing has been delayed since May. In recent weeks, the crypto community has been waiting with bated breath for the listing to happen in July.
But as the month draws to a close, the Hamster Kombat team remains silent, fueling all sorts of rumors and speculation.
What is known about the HMSTR list?
The listing and subsequent distribution of the HMSTR currency has long been discussed to take place in July, but the game developers have not made any direct statements about the listing with specific deadlines.
On July 17, the Russian-language Telegram channel reported that Hamster Kombat developers announced an imminent listing on the CoinDCX exchange, hinting that a token airdrop could take place within the next 24 hours. The post about the alleged airdrop and listing was later deleted, but local media picked up on the news.
However, the official project roadmap does not contain any details about the coin’s listing. According to current data, the TGE (token production efficiency) and the launch of the token in-game utility are expected in July.
Another reason for the uncertainty of Hamster Kombat’s listing date could be the slow market. Many crypto projects postpone listing on exchanges due to market declines. Top cryptocurrencies are starting to fall, and therefore, it is not profitable to enter an exchange that currently has a listing.
What does the crypto community say?
The longer the Hamster Kombat team remains silent, the more rumors and negative sentiment grows in the community.
Users say the 250 million-strong Hamster Kombat community has been eagerly awaiting news about the listing, but they have lost hope for now.
“Users are losing hope in the game. And we know you won’t disappoint users.”
Another member of Group X stated that the project team was not interested in the listing, they were just “enjoying the YouTube money.”
Hamster is worse than others. They enjoy YouTube money, so they don’t plan to list. Tapswap had a chance to take the initiative after Notcoin but failed, hamster is also wasting this chance.

One user also predicted that the community would be very disappointed if the listing was not made in July:
“If the July list doesn’t come out, the community will definitely be disappointed and scattered, the Hamster Kombat channel may disappear completely.”
At the same time, the largest Hamster Kombat fan community on X published a post with news and an upcoming listing. The post refers to the token’s imminent launch on eight major exchanges. However, no other details are provided.
Listing ambiguity attracts scammers
Amid the anticipation of the token’s launch, scammers have begun stealing Telegram user accounts under the guise of a Hamster Kombat money-withdrawal service, Kaspersky Lab said.
The scheme works as follows: Attackers send links to a resource for authorization in the service. Through it, users can withdraw coins from Hamster Kombat. To do this, they need to enter their credentials on the open page. This is how scammers get access to personal accounts in the messenger.
“For example, in the Hamster Kombat case, the scammers guaranteed that the payment would be made within 15 minutes after successful authorization in Telegram.”
Olga Svistunova, senior content analyst at Kaspersky Lab
The goal of fraudsters is to obtain a phone number and verification code. Attackers can use this account access for a variety of purposes, including stealing confidential data, blackmailing, and sending fake messages to your contact list.
With cheating cases on the rise, Russia could become the first country to officially ban Hamster Kombat. The head of the State Duma Committee on Financial Markets, Anatoly Aksakov, called the hamster’s “tapping” a “clear fraud” and “manipulation and exploitation of citizens’ psychology.”
Who can be asked about the listing?
The Hamster Kombat team has kept its identity secret throughout its existence, but recently the media revealed who is behind the popular game: Russian businessman Eduard Gurinovich.
However, Gurinovich noted that he and his team have become Russia’s exclusive partner for the Hamster Kombat game. They have purchased the rights to the trademark and will be responsible for working with the local community.
“The project team gave us the right to officially register the trademark “HAMSTER KOMBAT” due to the increasing wave of scammers around the world. Russian players are often the target of phishing attacks and scams by scammers, and we are still fighting against it.”
What is the secret of the popularity of Hamster Kombat, says Russian businessman Eduard Gurinovich?
The whole world has fallen under the influence of the latest trend: game clickers that allow users to earn real money. The huge interest in such products can be explained by the successful promotion and viral effect of these games.
However, Mark Long, a gaming industry figure and senior CEO of Shrapnel, explains that the success of the acclaimed clicker game reflects the changing nature of games, namely, the fact that they are slowly embracing blockchain technology and the concept of earning money while playing.
“Most developers outside of crypto converts are still skeptical of blockchain’s ability to attract significant numbers of players. But considering Hamster Kombat has amassed over 200 million players in just a few months, it’s clear the narrative needs to change.”
Mark Long, Shrapnel CEO
Therefore, with the listing of Hamster Kombat, we can expect an even bigger wave of popularity for the Tap-to-Earn mechanic. However, for now, the uncertainty of the listing is fueling rumors in the crypto community waiting for the coveted token to be traded.
